Canolfan Gymuned Carreglefn

Community Centre

Welcome to Carreglefn Community Centre. Historically, the Community Hall has hosted a wide range of community activities ranging from children's parties, concerts, Christmas Fairs, courses, Whist Drives, Clwb y Cen meetings, Community Council meetings, Bingo nights and much more. With the change of use as a result of the closure of the Carreglefn Community School a new chapter begins for the building. We hope that you will be with us every step of the way and that with your support the Centre will become a multi purpose Venue for the use of our community and the local area. Who will be the first pair to marry here?!

Carreglefn Community Gardening Club

A new community gardening club is beginning in Carreglefn — and everyone is welcome to get involved.

The club aims to bring people together through a shared enjoyment of gardening, nature and community spirit. Whether you are an experienced gardener, enjoy growing flowers or vegetables, care about wildlife and biodiversity, or simply want to meet new people and spend time outdoors, there will be something for everyone.

The project has been developed through the Community Centre and hopes to create opportunities for local people of all ages to work together on practical and enjoyable gardening activities within the village.

Future plans may include:

  • Community planters and floral displays
  • Wildlife and pollinator-friendly planting
  • Seasonal gardening projects
  • Shared vegetable growing
  • Gardening workshops and demonstrations
  • Social gardening sessions with tea, coffee and conversation
  • Opportunities for volunteering and community involvement

As well as helping to brighten the village, the club hopes to support wellbeing, reduce loneliness, encourage new friendships and create a stronger sense of community pride.

No experience is needed — just enthusiasm, ideas and a willingness to get involved.

The club is intended to be friendly, informal and inclusive, and we would love local residents to help shape its future from the very beginning.

For more information, please contact us through the website — or even better, come along to our Open Meeting on 11 June 2026 and help shape the future of the club from the start.

YOUR VOICE

Your opinion is important to us and we’re always keen to receive both positive and constructive comments so that we can keep improving services and experiences. You can complete the questionnaire online or if you would like to complete a paper-based version you can print a hard copy (please see the box on the right) and return it to us.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time to complete the survey. As mentioned already your feedback is helpful to us, not only as a basis for improvement but as a means of gleaning information on the success of an event to report back to the organisations that have sponsored the events.

YOUR FEEDBACK

This is the first time that we’ve set up an online questionnaire, if it doesn’t work for you please let us know by e-mailing us at  contact@carreglefn.org .

We’ll let you know about the survey result on the news page, we’ll also tell you what we’ve done in response to your feedback.
